Ora Mae Rhodes Mitchell, age 83, passed away peacefully at her residence on April 14, 2025. She was born on April 10, 1942 in Rowan County, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Wayne Mitchell; son, Terry A. Jumper; daughter, Cynthia D. Cowan; and 10 brothers and sisters.

Ora Mae leaves to cherish her memory her devoted daughter, Kay Frances (Reginald) Miller of Lexington; three grandchildren, Natasha, Stephanie and Chris; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Craven-Powell Chapel of Roberts Funeral Service, with family visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m. Public viewing will take place on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Service.
