Patricia Ann Powell Kershaw, 63, of Winston-Salem, peacefully transitioned from this life to eternal bliss on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at her residence. She was born January 24, 1952 to the late James Powell and Daisey Allen in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 14, 2015 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 1201 New Hope Ln. at 1 p.m. with family visitation an hour prior to service. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. Viewing will be Friday from 1 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Patricia, "Pat" as she was affectionately called, was educated and graduated from the local Winston-Salem Forsyth County School System. Thus having a zeal for helping people she went on to receive her CNA Certification and was employed with Winston-Salem Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. During her spiritual walk she found her place at Trinity Assemble of God in Mocksville, North Carolina where she was a member. Her father the late James Powell preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her loving mother Daisey Allen; her four sons: Malcolm Powell, Adrian Blackmon, Charles Albright, David Kershaw; six brothers: Archie Powell, Anthony Powell, Jonny Reed, Kevin Reed, Tyrone Prince, Kenny Robinson; five sisters: Barbara Powell, Constance (Ralph) Broadwater, Katie Moses, Cynthia McDowell, Victoria Smith; six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
