Obituary

Our beloved Patricia Dean Mayfield Williams transitioned to her Heavenly Home Thursday, March 26, 2026 at her residence in Woodleaf, North Carolina surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born September 9, 1958 in Rowan County, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late James Albert Mayfield and the late Bernice Alexander Mayfield. She was hard working and enjoyed a beautiful life. Patricia was kind and compassionate and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of family and friends.

Her formal education was received in the Davie County public schools. She graduated from the Davie County High School in 1976. After graduation, she furthered her studies at the Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, majoring and receiving her Associates Degree in Childcare Development. She was employed with Crown Wood for 25 years prior to her employment with Comfort Built which she later on retired after many years of dedicated service.

Patricia's spiritual journey was nurtured as a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Mocksville, North Carolina. She loved her church and served faithfully until declining health prevented her attendance. Patricia was a fashionista and was always impeccably dressed. Other hobbies included: enjoying country western shows, spending time with her grandchildren and of course "shopping."

In addition to her parents, a brother, James Calvin Mayfield preceded her in death.

Patricia's legacy of love, devotion to family and friends and her sweet spirit will live in the hearts of those who survive. They are her husband of 35 years, Harold R. Williams of the home; a son, Derrek (Tabatha) Dulin of Clemmons, North Carolina; a daughter, Chasity (Augustine) Wiggins of Gastonia, North Carolina; three grandchildren: Kadence Dulin, A'veah Williams and Joseph Wiggins; three sisters: Carolyn Tatum of Mocksville, North Carolina, Jeannie (Tommy) Rivers and Josephine Mayfield, both of Mocksville, North Carolina; a brother, Randy (Tunya) Mayfield of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Downing; two brothers-in-law, Lawrence (Ann) Williams and Carl (Frances) Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
