Mr. Patrick O'Neil Powell was born April 10, 1970 to L. Charles Powell, Sr. and Mildred (Mickey) Blair Powell in Davidson County.

He began his career in Law Enforcement at the Davidson County Sheriff's Department and later at Winston-Salem State University.
