Mrs. Patsy Lamb Hairston, 89, of Frank Hulin Rd., died Thursday, October 1, 2015, at her daughter's residence.

The funeral service will be Tuesday at 2:00pm at Buncombe Baptist Church with family visitation an hour before the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing will be Monday from 1:00pm -8:00pm at Roberts Funeral Service.

She was born in Davidson County on December 8, 1925, to Tobe Lamb and Lucy Hairston Lamb. She was a member of Buncombe Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William George "Snap" Hairston; a daughter, Lucy Hairston Hill; a brother, Adam Lamb and a sister, Eva Hairston.

Mrs. Hairston leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, William Hairston and Stokes (Sheila) Hairston both of Lexington; three daughters, Maezellar (James) Peebles of Mocksville, Hannah Hairston and Patsy Ann Hairston both of Lexington; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
