Paul Davis Staplefoote, 84 of Apex Dr., died Tuesday August 17, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Winston-Salem, NC.

He was born in Davidson County on April 19, 1937 to George Davis and MeEtta Hairston Staplefoote. He served in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Arthur Raymond, Noah Wade and Roy Leviticus, and one sister, Mary B. Staplefoote Hoover.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Clarine Staplefoote of the home; one sister, Georgianna Rogers of The Bronx, NY; his children: Lionel (Zenobia) Staplefoote of Jacksonville, FL, Dora (Ron) Banks of Lexington, NC, Thelma (Rayvon) Crump of Lexington, NC; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a host of adoring family and friends.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 1:00pm at Agape Faith Church, Clemmons, NC, officiated by Pastor J. B. Whitefield. The service will be preceded by a viewing from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Burial will be on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Salisbury National Cemetery at 11:00 am.

His parting words were, "I will be waiting on you in heaven. I shake the trees, you rake the leaves. That is a big 10-4!"
