Paulette Lashawn Latrice Davis was born on March 17, 1978 in Miami, Florida to the late Paul and Sheila Davis. Due to the untimely demise of both her parents at a very young age, Paulette was raised by her aunt, Grace Marie Goodman-Williams, who also preceded her in death. As a child and even as she transitioned into an adult, Paulette was always very quiet and introverted, but she loved to laugh and Kevin Hart was her favorite celebrity. A lifelong lover of music and dancing, Paulette developed a strong LOVE for both Micheal and Janet Jackson! Micheal, however, stole her heart and Paulette spent a great majority of her life singing, dancing and teaching others (especially her siblings and college roommates) all of Micheal's newest dance moves!
Paulette was a product of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools system and later graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Florida Memorial University. Paulette was a lover of children and a career in education suited her perfectly as she was such a sweet, patient and kindhearted person. Not only was she this way in the classroom, but when Paulette gave birth she demonstrated these same beautiful qualities as a mother to her one and only son, her pride and joy - Dylan! The birth of her baby boy was an absolute blessing to her and until her very last days she spoke on how proud she was of him and how she was SO excited to see her baby boy pursue his dream of becoming a pilot. Paulette was a lover of family and she would call all times of day and night to ensure that her family knew just that! Paulette had a heart of gold and would do whatever she could to put a smile on the faces of those around her. Paulette was truly a gem and made it her business to exude love and light to all of those around her.
"Pooh,"as she was affectionately known, leaves a host of loving and nurturing memories with her son, Dylan; her aunt, Cerietta (Robert) Wilder; uncle, Gus Goodman; her brother, Jesse (Angela); her sisters: Adrianne, Yonyetta, Aurelia (Corey), Octavia (Carl) and April; her nephews: Bobby, Arrington, Jesse III, Rondy, Antoine, Astin, Chace, Franchell and Kyree; her nieces, Karis and Rhiddi; loving cousins: Larry Dawkins, Valencia and Robbin Wilder and George Goodman. She also leaves cherished memories with her loving companion, Bernard Archie. Paulette is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
