Obituary

Mr. Phenix Franklin Brown, Jr., 74, was born on October 11, 1951, in Davidson County, North Carolina, to the late Phenix F. Brown, Sr. and Pearl Hairston Brown. He departed this earthly life on August 4, 2026, at Camellia Garden Center in Henderson, North Carolina.

Phenix was a graduate of West Davidson High School. Following his education, he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Village Drive.

Phenix was lasted employed with Independence Bottle Company in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Phenix was preceded in death by his parents, Phenix F. Brown, Sr. and Pearl Hairston Brown; one brother, Henry F. Brown; and six sisters, Mae Olia Jenkins, Emma Lou Brown, Betty Brown Crayton, Martha Brown, Minnie Brown, and Rachel Brown.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory his wife, Carla Brown; two sons, Brian Brown and Jeremy Brown; one stepson, Michkael Thomas; a stepdaughter, Clorinthia Reid; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Lelia Williams; a special nephew, Frank Bush; trusted friends: Troy Cash, Danny Wright and John Davis and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
