Ralph Lopp Michael Sr., 94, of Domino Dr., passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center.

The funeral service will be Wednesday at St. Stephens United Methodist Church at 1:30pm with family visitation a half hour before the service. Burial will follow at Chestnut Grove Church cemetery with full military rites.

Public viewing will be Tuesday from 1-8pm at Roberts Funeral Service.

He was born April 27, 1920 to Frank Michael and Estella Lopp Michael. He was a member of St. Stephens UMC and served on the finance committee, United Methodist Men and was superintendent of the Sunday school. He served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Louise P. Michael and siblings, Elard, Odell, Julian, Cleo, Shando and John Wesley.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Ralph L. (Thelma) Michael, Jr of Salisbury; a daughter, Thelma M. (William) Johnson of Washington, DC; a step-daughter, Janie Rankin of Lexington; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; a brother, Lewis E. (Mary) Michael; two sisters, Etta M. White and Lula M. Pittman both of Lexington and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
