Raymond Lash quietly entered eternal rest on January 21, 2022. He was born December 28, 1933 to loving parents Clinton Lash, Sr. (1902-1978) and Annie Bell Lash (1912-1999).
Being the second of eight siblings, Raymond grew up in Winston-Salem and attended Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools. At an early age, Raymond developed a love for woodwork, building bird houses, picture frames, plaques and decorative items that were made using his gifts and creativity. He sought detail and perfection in his crafts. He also loved to play his harmonica, look at westerns and cheer for his Atlanta Braves.
Raymond was employed by Merita and Jones bakeries and retired after several years of service. You would hear the excitement in his voice and see the twinkle in his eye when he talked about his family. He had a way that would bring the brightest smiles and warmth to anyone's heart through his charismatic personality. Truly, he will forever be missed by all, who loved and knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Gloria D. Lash, Franklin D. Lash and Frances E. Wright.
His memory will be cherished by his daughter, Denise Galloway; grandchildren: Shawn, Tiffany and Krista Lash and remembered in love by great grandchildren: Shawn Jr., Alana, Mia and Xavier Lash. He will be greatly missed by his siblings: Clinton Lash Jr., Juanita (Geter) Anderson, Bennett (Jean) Lash and Dorothy Ann (Samuel) Johnson.
