Raymond Dale Steed, age 58, took flight to his Heavenly Home, Monday, September 4, 2023 at his residence in Lexington, North Carolina. Raymond was born March 23, 1965 in Lexington, North Carolina and was the son of the late Rufus and Mable Everhart Steed, and the late Bobby Payne.

Raymond attended the public schools in Davidson County, North Carolina. For many years he was employed as a truck driver with Prime Trucking Company. For many years he enjoyed working as a Tattoo Artist. In his leisure, he loved watching Nascar, listening to music, especially Rock & Roll and Heavy Metal, and cheering on his beloved Philadelphia Eagles.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dion Payne.

Cherished memories are left to one son, Jessie (Karen) Steed of High Point, North Carolina; three daughters: Jennifer (Jerry) Steed Whitaker, Amanda (Brentley Craver) Steed, and Tabitha (Brandon) Steed Hancock, all of Lexington, North Carolina; eleven grandchildren; siblings: Randy Hill, Sandra (Rick) Hucks, April Payne, and Lori Freddle; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will hold a private service at a later date. Roberts Funeral Service (Lexington) assisting with the arrangements.
