Recardo Lenard Johnson, age 61, departed from this earthly life on December 12, 2021 at Atrium Health – Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born on May 15, 1960 in Forsyth County, North Carolina to the late Billy Johnson and Elma Key Johnson.

He received his formal education from the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools. Recardo gratefully served in the United States Army, receiving notable ribbons: Marksman (Rifle), Army Service Ribbon and Overseas Service Ribbon. He was employed with Walmart as a Stocker.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law, Gail Johnson.

Recardo leaves behind his siblings: Reginald Johnson, Ronald Johnson, Tremis Johnson, Quinton Johnson, Dennis (Keisha) Johnson, Prentice (Lonell) Johnston, Rosalyn Johnston and Tabitha Johnson (Jeffery) Kelly; aunt, Margretta Key; uncle, Freddie Jerome Key; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Inurnment will take place 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 7, 2022 at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, North Carolina with full military honors. In every effort to protect our client families, sanitizing, facial coverings and or mask are required for all services.
