Mr. Refugio Benitez Aparicio, age 60 of Mocksville, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 in Mocksville, North Carolina. The son of the late Natividad Benitez and the late Rufina Aparicio, Refugio was born on July 4, 1965 in Coapinolar, Guerrero, Mexico. Refugio will be missed by his family and friends.


He attended the public schools of Coapinola, Mexico. Refugio believed in working hard to provide for his family. He was last employed at Larson Manufacturing in Mocksville, North Carolina. Refugio was a Parish Member of St. Francis of the Assisi Catholic Church in Mocksville, North Carolina. Always finding ways to relax and enjoy life, Refugio enjoyed fishing, taking long walks, being outside to enjoy all that nature had to offer, working on his car, going out to dinner and enjoying the meal, dancing, being the family jokester and just simply visiting family brought him joy.
Those who welcomed Refugio to his heavenly home were his parents and a brother, Pablo Beneitz Aparicio.

Fond and loving memories of Refugio will be forever cherished by his wife, Selfa Romero Fernandez; two sons Salvador Benitez Romero and Nicolas (Jhoana Rivera Lovos) Benitez Romero, both of Mocksville, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Mariana Benitez Rivera and Alonso Benitez Rivera; two brothers, Bernardo Benitez DeJesus and Pedro (Mariana Lozen Benitez) Benitez Aparicio, both of Mocksville, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pray for our beloved brother, father, husband, friend so together we may lift his spirit.


Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Refugio Benitez Aparicio will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Roberts Funeral Service Chapel from 7:00 PM- 10:00 PM. The Rosary Service will be on Wednesday, December 3, 3035 at St. Francis of the Assissi, in Mocksville, North Carolina at 11:00 AM. Burial at the Rose Cemetery will follow immediately.
