Regina Francine "Poochie" Hairston Hargrave, 56, of School St., passed Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

A private funeral service will be Wednesday at Buncombe Baptist Church. Public viewing will be Tuesday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the funeral home.

On November 27, 1964 in Davidson County, Regina was born to Eugene and Betty C. Hairston.Regina was educated in the Davidson County School system and graduated from West Davidson High School in 1984. She attended Kings College. She was employed with the City of Lexington and J. Smith Young YMCA until her health began to decline. Regina was a member of Buncombe Baptist Church where she sang with the youth choirand served with the missionary ministry. She was a true Redskin Fan, a member of "Ladies of the 90's" and a faithful member of the Petersville Community.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Poochie was a loving and devoted wife, sister, auntie and friend.She loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Jeffrey Hargrave of the home; two sisters, Katrina (Nathan) Jerrett and Bessie (Benjamin) Holmes; two brothers, Lamont Hairston and Terry Smith; her father and mother-in-law, Sherman and Mary Hargrave; 4 sisters-in-law; 3 brothers-in-law and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
