Reginald "Javon" Cook, 53, passed away unexpectedly on January 19, 2022 in West Palm Beach, Florida where he resided. He was born on September 7, 1969 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to the late James "Cookie" Cook and Lucille C. Slater.
He received his formal education from the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools and attended Mt. Tabor High School. In his leisure, Javon was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan. Religiously, he was of the Baptist faith. While in Florida he attended Family Worship Church in North Palm Beach.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jacqueline D. Redd.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his former wife, Dawn Garland; uncle, Eugene Cook; aunts: Addie Mae Wagner, Annie Ruth Singletary, Catherine Brown; special cousins: Carolyn Carter, Someria (Lynn) Jordan; along with numerous other cousins; two close friends, Kelli Dennard of North Palm Beach, Florida, and Sabrina Robertson of Georgia; other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held 12:00 P.M. Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Roberts Funeral Service Chapel (Winston-Salem) with visitation at 11:30 A.M. In every effort to protect our client families, sanitizing, facial coverings and or mask are required for the service.
