Richard Charles Pearson was born to Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Margaret Pearson on a Saturday, March 15, 1947 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Rich was taken prematurely from us on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. He was 75 years old.
Rich is survived by his loving wife Sally, with whom he shared 29 wonderful years of marriage. He is also survived by his sister Pamela Wright; son Don and his wife Carrie Pearson; daughter Natalie Andruczyk; and son Nathan and his wife Jena Andruczyk. He was father to Stephen and Richie, sons from a previous marriage, both unfortunately lost to illness far too early.
Besides Rich's love of the outdoors –especially fishing – he could always be found working on a project. He loved projects—sculpting, carving, and building. He was rarely seen not working on one project or another. Rich was known for his creative and artistic talents and his family looked forward to his handcrafted gifts given during the holidays. These treasures will bring fond memories for years to come and will be remarkable reminders of the thoughtful love he poured into his family and craft. Rich also enjoyed working around the house. He was an immaculate groundskeeper of his beautiful home and he and Sally took great pride in cultivating a welcoming space for friends and family to gather.
Rich's truest passion, his calling perhaps, was being papa or grandpa to his 5 adoring grandkids… Stephen (16), Sabrina (12), Liam (7), Kayson (2), and most recently Callum (6 months). With them he was still, gentle, kind and silly. He was so loved by each of them and will be deeply missed.
Rich proudly served his country for 22 years in the United States Air Force where he served in the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Air Force, Rich served another 20 years in public service as a Riverside County Deputy Sheriff. It was during this time as a Deputy Sheriff that he met the love of his life, Sally. Rich and Sally married on December 29, 1993 and shared a wonderful life together raising Don, Natalie and Nathan. Since retiring, Rich and Sally have been inseparable, traveling, spending time with their grandchildren and splitting their time between Forest Falls, CA and Charlotte, North Carolina enjoying their adventures together.
Rich was an honorable and giving man of strong character. He was respected and loved by so many who cherish the lasting impact that he has had on their lives—especially his loving family. We love you and we will miss you.
