Mr. Robert Mason Brown, 76, of Village Dr., passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Health-Lexington Medical Center.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, January 20th at 2:00 PM at Union Baptist Church with family visitation a half hour before the service. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.

He was born on February 25, 1938 in Davie County to Clarence Odell Brown, Sr. and Johnsie Mason Brown. He was a member of Union Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and served on the finance committee, trustee and usher boards. He was a truck driver with Billings Trucking Company.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence Jr., Daniel and Frank Brown; and two sisters, Jane Belcher and LouNetta Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Ernestine G. Brown of the home; step-mother, Juanita Brown; two sons, Steve (Fachial) Brown of Lexington and Robert Brown of Pinehurst; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Jessie (Doris) Brown and Wayne Brown; four sisters, Onell Lewis, Wanda Brown, Brenda McDonald and Angela (Tony) Webb; three sisters-in-law, Pauline Hargrave, Inez Shaw and Helen Nichols; a brother-in-law, Robert Gooden; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
