Obituary

On March 29, 1949 Robert Earl Claytor, affectionately known as "Robert," was blessed to the union of Richard Giles and Willie Mae Claytor of VA.

Deacon Claytor was baptized in the name of Jesus by Bishop Mary Bonner at Harvest International Ministries in 2003.He was a firm believer in Christ Jesus.His grandparents and parents, as well as two sisters, Jessie Moore and Regina Hawthorn; two brothers, James and Ricky Claytor preceded him in death.

He was educated and graduated from Norfolk High in Norfolk, West Virginia.He entered the Air Force after graduation from High School on December 1, 1968.He received an honorable discharge from the Air Force.He married Francine Bradsher. To this union four beautiful children were born: Timothy Bradsher, Tabitha Bradsher, Errick (Niyossii) Claytor and Richard Claytor.

Robert had a great love for sports and in his high school days, he was a great football player, known as the "Hit Man" on the field.Robert was also a music lover with a great passion for art.He had a strong desire for helping people and he loved church functions and musicals.In his leisure time, he loved watching Western Movies and T V Shows.

Robert loved and enjoyed his family and friends most of all; they meant everything to him.There was absolutely nothing that would stop him from sharing his love and laughter.He had an amazing talent for making people laugh, even if they were angry.He left a lasting impression on all. Robert would always greet you with a "Smile" even if he wasn't feeling well, and anyone who knew him knew him as "NO JOKE BOB."

Robert leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Francine; four beautiful children: Timothy Bradsher, Tabitha Bradsher, Errick (Nyossie) Claytor, Richard Claytor; eleven grandchildren: Tyshawn Bradsher, Travis Bradsher, Dion Doulas, Bria Bufford, Christopher Balboa, India Brasher, Niala Claytor, Leigh Claytor, Travon Simmons, Alaina Boykin, and Brielle Boykin; five great grandchildren: Juron Bradsher, Reyshon Bradsher, Jaramie Jones, Syncere Shelton, Casimir Bradsher and a host of extended aunts, uncles, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

The Celebration of Life and Spirit will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 14, 2019 from the chapel of Roberts Funeral Service (Winston-Salem) with moments of visitation at 12:30 P.M. prior to the service.His mortal frame shall lie in repose on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. at Roberts Funeral Service (Winston-Salem) Chapel.The Act of Inurnment and Military honors will be rendered Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. from the Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Boulevard, Salisbury, NC 28144.
