Robert Lee Payne, Jr. was born to the union of Robert Lee Payne, Sr. and Lilian Elizabeth Simpson Payne on October 15, 1964. Robert was raised by his aunt, Lucile Simpson-Belin, all preceded him in death.

Robert attended Lexington Senior High School and went on to receive his GED. He joined Eternal Life Ministries and worked at Metal Works in High Point, NC.

Robert leaves to cherish his memories three sisters: Angela Payne of High Point, NC, Kim Parrish (Haywood) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Rosetta Clark (Antwone) of Lexington; two brothers, Henry Payne (Lizzy) of High Point, and Robert Crosby (Kera) of Lexington; one uncle, John Simpson of Richmond, VA; two very special friends, Kevin Williams and Ann Badger; a special "daughter," Shaunquilla Payne and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be Saturday at Roberts Funeral Service Chapel at 1:00pm with family visitation at 12:30pm. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery. Public viewing will be Friday from 1:00-6:00pm.
