Mr. Robert Williams, Jr., 73, was born in Greenville, SC to the late Robert Williams, Sr. and Mary Jones Williams on August 16, 1947.He was educated in the Davidson County School Systems.He departed this life on October 30, 2020.

Robert moved with his family to Lexington, NC at an early age and was a member of First Baptist Church and later joined Cedar Grove Baptist Church.He attended Ashmore Business College and Davidson County Community College and received a certificate in Criminal Justice.

He served four years in the United States Air Force and received an honorable discharge.He also served in the US Army National Guard and retired after 23 years of service. He was a member of Prince Hall Corinthian Lodge #17 Free Masons.Robert retired from Ingersoll Rand Co. R&D department after 34 years of service.He enjoyed fishing, golfing and most sports.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Barbara B. Williams of the home; a sister, Susan (Fred) Holt of Lexington; two sisters-in-law, Betty (Charles) Godwin and Phyllis Brown; four brothers-in-law, Jesse (Geraldine) Brown III, Kenneth (Linda) Brown, Rev. Kelly (Christine) Brown and Harvey Lindsay all of Mocksville, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.

Private funeral service will be Monday at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with public viewing from 1-1:30pm. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
