Roberta Hunter , age 77, went home to be with Our Lord and Savior, Monday, December 5, 2022 while a patient at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Rufus Hunter and Alberta Odessa Woodberry Hunter. We will see her again in that great getting up morning.

Roberta attended school in Davidson County and graduated from Dunbar High School, Class of 1963.  She retired from PPG Ind. as an endfinder after many years of service.  She was a member of Yadkin Star Baptist Church and was a member of Red Hat Society. She enjoyed life but her most favorite joy was spending time with her family and friends, her grandson and great-grandchildren who were the 'apples of her eye'.

She has entered Heaven's Gate and there to welcome her home were her parents, Rufus and Alberta Odessa Woodberry Hunter and her brother, Rufus July Hunter.

Gone from our home but never from our hearts, our dear Roberta will be remembered and loved by her daughter, Samantha C. (Earl) Anderson; grandson, Timothy S. Moses; three great-grandchildren: Jakeis N. Moses, the apple of her eye, Sakyra Moses and Ziyana Moses; four sisters: Mildred Terry, Barbara Hunter, Mattie L. Hunter and Marsha (Edward) Pate; two aunts, Katherine Hoover and Clarrisa Woodberry; a devoted nephew who was raised liked a son, Christopher Hunter; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be Sunday at Yadkin Star Baptist Church at 2:00pm with family visitation at 1:30pm.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Public viewing will be Saturday from 1:00pm-5:00pm at Roberts Funeral Service.
