Roby Clifton Delapp was born on January 28, 1948, to Clifton Delapp and Etta Lindsay Delapp. He departed this life on August 16, 2025.

Roby was educated in the Davidson County School System and was a proud graduate of Dunbar High School. He was a faithful member of Gates of Zion Worship Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Reva D. Leonard.

Cherishing his memory are his three sons: Keith Delapp, Mario Delapp, and Lamont Delapp; his daughter, Tray Delapp; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his sister, Patricia Young; along with a host of niece, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends. Roby was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at Gates of Zion Worship Center, with family visitation beginning at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
