Roger Dale Moore was born in Thomasville, North Carolina on October 17, 1955 to the late Robert Lee Moore and Francis Craver Moore. He peacefully passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the Hinkle Hospice House.

Roger proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a man of faith, being of the Baptist belief. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four uncles: Howard Moore, Joe Moore, Johnnie Moore, and Timothy Moore.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his son, David Moore; two brothers, Greg Moore and Jeff Moore (Tenna); two sisters, Carolyn Hawkins (Eddie) and Susan Thomas (Danny); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday at Promise Baptist Church from 10:15 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial with military honors at Salisbury National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
