January 22, 1956 – August 7, 2024
Ronald Rena´ Knotts gained his wings on Wednesday August 7, 2024 at 5:00pm in Denver, Colorado after a lengthy illness.
Ronald was one of 6 children born to Garrett "Bo" and Estella Knotts. He was educated in the Lexington City School System and was a member of the class of 1974. He was a member of the United States Armed Forces, a brick and concrete contractor, a truck driver and lastly a cook in several facilities.
He was a former member of Ezekiel AME Zion Church and First Baptist Church, Village Drive where he participated in the choir. Ronald was an avid fisherman on the North Carolina Coast, loved going to the beach, talking on the phone, cooking, traveling on the bus and especially being with family.
He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife, Mary of Colorado; step-sons, Wade (Becky) Peters, Tim (Reanna) Breese; grandchildren: Kayha Douglas, Timothy L. Breese, Anna Breese and Nicholas Pierce; Anna Peters and Richard Britt, both deceased; sons: Anton Knotts of Georgia and his children, Alvin Anderson of New York and his children, Tyrail Tucker of Greensboro, NC and his children; step-children: Angel, Robert and Micheal Scott and their children; and Wayne Scott, deceased; his siblings: Lesley (Jimmy) Alston of Spencer, NC, Beverly (Bruce) Benson, Warren Knotts, Patti Knotts, all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Angela (Curtis) McDuffie of Lexington; aunts, Delma Moore of Midway and Myrtle Burris of Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held for Ronald Knotts on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 3:00pm at First Baptist Church, Village Drive in Lexington, NC. Face masks are recommended.
