Rosa Mae Young, age 69, entered Eternal rest, Monday, July 21, 2025 while a patient at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem North Carolina. "Poochie," as she was affectionately known, was born November 17, 1955 in Yadkin County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Brady E. Young, Jr. and Alean Pearl Kimbrough Young. She will be remembered for her quiet demeanor and the way she brought joy to everyone who came to visit her. We are thankful for the years we shared her life.


She attended the public schools of Yadkin County, North Carolina. Her church affiliation was with Tabernacle United Church of Christ in Huntsville, North Carolina. She loved doing craft projects. You would often find her drawing or creating something beautiful with needle point. Rosa mostly enjoyed watching the birds outside her window. She was a great conversationalist and never met a stranger.


She has joined her parents and siblings: Junior Clay Kimbrough and Barbara Sales in a place we have been told is perfect in every way.


Those left to cherish fond memories are a brother, Crawford (Vickey) Young of Mocksville, North Carolina; six sisters: Ruth Carolyn Tatum, Maxine (Robert) Davis, Annie (Thomas) Campbell, Kay Frances (Joseph Brent) Stevenson and Tangee Young, all of Mocksville and Pauline Young of Yadkinville, North Carolina; an aunt, Connie Campbell of Advance, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


The family is receiving friends at the home of Mr. Crawford Young. His address is at 2087 NC-801 N, Mocksville, NC 27028.


Pink was Rosa's favorite color. The family is asking all those attending the service's for Rosa Mae Young, to please wear some shade of pink.
