Rosetta Rogers was born in Davidson County to Willie Rogers and Mary Diggs on September 20, 1957. She was reared by Mary Inez Pruitt and Lonnie Pruitt who became her foster parents.
She attended Lexington City Schools and graduated in 1977 from Lexington Senior High School. She worked many years at Southern Lunch. She was a member of Lexington Deliverance Tabernacle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her foster parents; her brother, William Rogers; foster brother, Stewart Sampson; two sisters, Clara Parker and Willie Mae Rogers; 8 foster sisters: Rev. Lois Hargrave, Edith Evone Lazenbury, Pecolia Gray, Jessie P. Rankin, Corey Bigby, Dezeree P. Imes, Lelia Ma Rudisell and Georginna Clankscale.
Rosetta leaves to cherish her memory her children: Cayce Davis, Edward Hargrave and Joshua Rogers; a grandson, Chevea Hargrave; a great-grandchild, Ka'Mari Hargrave; two foster brothers, Mike Holloway and Harold Holloway; three foster sisters: Evangelist Hattie Sue Gray, Rev. L.D. Imes and Pastor Ammie Phifer; a sister-in-law, Maggie Sampson; a devoted niece, Overseer Barbara Walser; three special friends, Barbara "BJ" Baremore Ashe, Daniel Vaughn, Pastor Andy (Marilyn) Holt and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
