Ms. Ruby Marie Williams, age 83, passed away quietly at Mocksville Senior Living on Monday, January 15, 2024, in Mocksville, North Carolina. Born on June 25, 1940, in Forsyth County to the late Jasper Mason Williams, Sr. and the late Frances Elizabeth VanEaton Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son; Gerard Williams; siblings: Marilyn W. Redfern, Jasper M. Williams, Jr. and Walter Alexander Williams.

As a young child, her parents introduced her to Christ. Ruby never strayed from her very early teachings of Christian values and her love of the Lord Jesus Christ.

She attended the public school system in Davie County, the former DCTS, and Price HS in Rowan County. After graduating, she moved to New York until the late 90s when she moved back to Davie County to help take care of her mother. Ruby retired from Somerset Court of Mocksville as a Nurse's Aide. Always willing to lend a hand, Ruby helped in every area possible at the center, so much so, she was awarded a Certificate of Achievement while at Somerset Court. She received a letter of Appreciation from the 106th Mayor of New York, Mayor David Dinkins, for her words of encouragement during his election. Ruby was a faithful member of New Bethel Baptist Church, Mocksville, NC until her health began to decline. She loved flowers (potted plants were her favorite,) meeting and greeting people, taking scenic walks around town, and listening to music.

Ruby, who had a warm and generous spirit, leaves behind:
Two brothers, George R. Williams of Mocksville, NC and Freddie Williams of Florida; a devoted sister-n-law, Priscilla Williams of Mocksville, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
