Our beloved Ruth Waller Myers departed this earthly life on Friday, June 20, 2025 while a patient at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. We thank Our Lord for the wonderful memories we shared with her.


The daughter of Nellie Sterling Parker and the late Johnny Ciscero Waller, Ruth was born December 29, 1968 in Rowan County, North Carolina. She attended the public schools in Davie County, North Carolina. Ruth enjoyed fellowshipping with the members of the Church of God of Prophecy in Mocksville, North Carolina.


Ruth was last employed with Davie Nursing and Rehabilitation Center until her health declined. In her leisure, Ruth enjoyed being outside, keeping her yard beautiful, especially planting flowers, listening to music, loving on her dogs and spoiling and loving on her grandchildren. You could find her sitting at the table drinking a cup of coffee, worrying about her children. Ruth lived a simple life, but found joy in every moment.


She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Cisaro Waller and an infant son, Jason Lee Briscoe.


Ruth leaves behind a host of family members who will cherish her memory: two sons, Christopher (Nikki) Briscoe and John Briscoe, both of Mocksville, North Carolina; a daughter, Sabrina Holshouser of Mocksville, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Riley Russell and Madison Briscoe; mother, Nellie Sterling Parker of Mocksville, North Carolina; two brothers, Jamey (Barbara Roseman) Waller and John (Rebecca) Waller, both of Mocksville, North Carolina; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.


We are heartbroken to experience the loss of our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. However, we rejoice and are grateful to celebrate the amazing life she lived and the lasting impact she left on each of us.

The Homegoing Service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM at The Church of God of Prophecy, with family visitation beginning at 1:30 PM.

Public viewing will be on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM at Roberts Funeral Service, Mocksville.
