Obituary
Mr. Sampson Watson, Jr., 82, of Old Salisbury Rd. passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Health-Lexington Medical Center.
He was born in York, SC on May 8, 1935 to Sampson Watson, Sr. and Molease M. Watson. He was retired from Lanier Hardware. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Georgianna H. Watson; two daughters, Carol "Jeanette" Watson and Elizabeth Watson-Singletary and three brothers: Charlie, James and Robert Watson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Sammy Lee Watson; two daughters: Debra Watson and Kelly L. Watson; two brothers: Tommy Lee Watson and Williams Watson; five sisters: Mary (William) Harrell, Blondia (Larry) Smith, Martha (Wade) Brown, Gladys (Raymond) Walser and Massie (James) Lassiter; seven grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Graveside service will be Friday at 11:00am at Lexington City Cemetery.
