Samuel Copeland, Sr., 88, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center with his two loving daughters and his nephew by his side. He was born August 18, 1933 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Brown and Marie O. Copeland.

A man of strong faith, he was a member of Full Deliverance Outreach Center. He retired from Davidson County Community College.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Ella Louise Davis Copeland; two sons, Dana (Jacquelin) Copeland and Samuel Copeland, Jr.; four daughters: Deana Austin, Belinda Copeland, Samdreya (Norris, Jr.) Turman and Sarah (David) Jolly; 19 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; a brother, Charles Copeland; a sister, Lula Mae Fort and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be Saturday at 2:00pm at Full Deliverance Outreach Center.
