Sarah Louise Bonner, 81, of Mason Street, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, heeded God's call and entered Heaven's gate on Saturday, January 11, 2020 while at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.She was birthed into this world on May 8, 1938 in Prichard, Alabama.She was the daughter of the late Ollie J. Chambers, Sr. and Annie Cornelius Chambers.
She received her formal education in the local school system.Sarah was employed with Hanesbrands, Lee Jeans as a seamstress and she retied from National Linen.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers: River Chambers, Raymond Chambers, Chester Chambers, Ollie J. Chambers, Jr., Walter Chambers and Earl Chambers; and two sisters, Alice Chambers and Shirley Ann Chambers.
The light that shown so brightly is no longer in our midst, but her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her loving companion, Joe DeWitt; sisters, Katie Mae Bernier and Mame Marie Chambers and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.She was well loved and respected in her community.She will be missed and loved always.
A Service of Triumph celebrating a Blessed Life will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 18, 2020 from Roberts Funeral Service Chapel (Winston-Salem) with family moments of sharing at 12 noon prior to the service. Mother Bonner's mortal temple will be coached to Mt. Gur Cemetery in Kernersville for the Service of Committal and earthly slumber. Her remains will lie in repose Friday, January 17, 2020 from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Roberts Funeral Service, Winston-Salem Chapel.
