Sharon Friday Smith, age 66, of Hartman St., crossed over to the Promised Land on October 25, 2023.

She was born June 14, 1957 in Davidson County to James Earl Friday and Evelyn Anthony Friday. She was a member of Union Baptist Church. Sharon worked many years at Dixie Furniture and later became a CNA at Carolina House. She loved her family.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Herbert Friday and a sister, Evelyn "Ree" Friday.

Left to cherish her memories are her children: Tony L. Friday, Anthony L. Friday and Crystal M. Smith Coleman; 3 grandchildren, Elijah, E'Kayla and Emmanuel; three brothers: Herman Ray (Jessie Mae) Friday, James E. (Diane) Friday, Jr. and Mark K. Friday; two sisters, Betty Sturdivant and Teresa Friday; four aunts: Adelaid Talbert, Carrie Poole, Ann Davis and Mary Montgomery; a special friend, Robert "Pop Corn" White and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be Monday at 1:00pm at Union Baptist Church with family visitation at 12:30pm. Burial will follow at South Lexington City Cemetery.
