Shawn Donnelle White, age 50, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026 surrounded by the love of family and friends .Shawn was born on March 14, 1976 in Rowan County to the late Donald Ray Smith and Janice White Davis.
Shawn lived a life centered on family, friendship and the simple joys that brought people together. He was known for his love of cooking and for sharing delicious meals with those he cared about. Whether preparing a favorite family recipe or trying something new on the grill, Shawn found happiness in feeding others and bringing loved ones together around the table.
An avid fisherman, Shawn treasured time spent by the water, enjoying the peace, patience and excitement that came with every fishing trip. Some of his happiest moments were spent outdoors, making memories with family and friends.
Above all, Shawn loved being surrounded by the people he cared about. He enjoyed gatherings, laughter, conversations and creating lasting memories. His kindness, warm spirit and sense of humor touched many lives and will be remembered by all who knew him.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jesse Lee & Stella Payne White; paternal grandparents Jessie Smith and Frances “Missy” Hargrave; and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins.
Shawn is survived by his life partner, Christy Phillips; his daughter, Treamea White; and his beloved grandson, Zaiden White, all of the home; mother, Janice W. Davis of High Point, NC; two sisters, Tanna White of Greensboro, NC and Myra (Antoine) Kincaid of Catulua, GA; two brothers, Donyelle Hargrave of Lexington, NC and J.T. Moore of Midway, NC; two special aunts, Frances W. (Perry) James of Mocksville, NC and Charlene W. Smith of High Point, NC; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Though he is no longer with us, the love he shared, the meals he prepared, the stories he told and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Forever loved, deeply missed and never forgotten.
