Shawnetta Marie Ingram of Forsyth County, North Carolina was born on April 17, 1969 to the late Josephine and Roosevelt Ingram and was called to her Heavenly home on Thursday morning, January 11, 2024, after an extended illness. Shawnetta loved crocheting, eating comfort food, looking at family pictures and attending family gatherings where she displayed her honest and straightforward wit, leaving most often, those nearby in laughter.
In preparation for life's experiences, she graduated from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County public school system. In the exercise of her faith, she united with Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. During her young adult life, she worked in the food service industry. While she worked at various establishments, she loved Pizza Hut the most.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sisters, Rosalind (James) Thorns and Angela (Clif) Carmon; six nieces and nephews: Chantel Thorns, Jalen Thorns, Kenard Samuels, Camille Carmon, Rachael Carmon and Philip (Mary Katherine) Carmon; one great nephew, Ian Carmon; one great niece, Ezra Snipes; two aunts, Elsie (Johnny) Smith and Gwendolyn Dobson; twelve first cousins: Felecia Talford, Henry Rawlinson, Jr., Reginald (Carolyn) Rawlinson, Paul Rawlinson, Paula (Danny) Waugh, Kevin (Tameka) Dobson, Shawnise Dobson, Tandriene (Kenneth) Venable, Charles (LaTasha) Dobson, Jr., Robbie Flood, Shuronia Pfleuger and Richard (Shannon) Hamilton, Jr., along with a host of other cousins, family members and friends.
Shawnetta will remain in our hearts forever. She will be missed.
Her life will be celebrated 1:00 P.M. on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Roberts Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, North Carolina.
