Sherika "Bug" Canty entered eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of resilience, love and renewed strength. Born to Crystal Canty and the late Tyrone Cook, Sherika was a cherished daughter, wife, sister, grandmother and family member whose spirit touched many.


In her final year, Sherika embraced a powerful season of healing and reconnection, reminding her family of the beauty of grace and second chances.


She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Melvin Clement; her children: Cierra Canty, Shaquana Canty, Qwezniek Roberts, Charles Boyd, Jr., Christopher Cody and Serenity Clement; her grandchildren, Messiah Canty and Camiya Canty; and her siblings, Christopher Canty and Korona Wolfe.


She is preceded in death by her father, Tyrone Cook; grandparents,Thelma & Thomas Canty; siblings,Tyrone Canty and Camille Canty and a host of loving family members who now welcome her home.


Though her journey held challenges, Sherika's final chapter was one of peace, clarity and renewed hope. Her life reminds us that transformation is possible and God's grace is always within reach.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 5, 2025 at Roberts Funeral Service Chapel (Winston-Salem).
