Shirley Ann Jefferies Ashe, 63 of Lexington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Shirley was born January 10, 1955 in Gaffney, South Carolina to Cedric and Ruby Proctor Jefferies. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ulyses Ashe, Sr. and five siblings: Terry "TJ" Jefferson, Robert Jefferies, Horace "Bimbo" Jefferies, Doris Epps and Helen Jefferies.

She leaves to cherish her memories a son, Ulyses Ashe, Jr. of Lexington, NC; five sisters: Virginia Marshall, Daisy "Gloria" Julian, Renee Jefferies Sims (Gary), Carol Lipcomb and Bernadette Jefferies of Gaffney, SC; one brother, Joe Dean Jefferies of Lexington, NC; two grandchildren, Zimya and Jordan Ashe of Lexington, NC; special friend, Aaron "Buster" Ashby of Lexington, NC; her mother-in-law, Ardenia Craddock; two sisters-in-law, Carrie Jefferson and Lexie Johnson (Robert) of Lexington NC; two brothers-in-law, Gary Sims of Gaffney SC and Dennis Ashe of Lexington, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, Old Post Rd, Gaffney, SC 29341 with family visitation at 2:30. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
