The Life of Silas Pressley, III

Silas Pressley, III, affectionately known as "SP3", 39, of Winston-Salem, NC was born on October 1, 1983 to Tonya Johnson and Silas Pressley, Jr. He slipped away from this earthly life on August 3, 2023.

Silas was a 2001 graduate of Carver High School. He played football, #21, Defensive Back. He furthered his education at Livingston College in Salisbury, NC.

Silas was raised with Drumsticks in his hands. At an early age, his cousin (Terry Johnson) taught him about the love of Drums. Throughout the years he learned to master his talent from God and would teach others, especially his godson, Jordan Benton.

Silas was the CEO of Press Marketing and Printing Press. He used his gift in graphics, engraving and visual arts. He loved the sport of football and in 2015 and 2016, Silas was the Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Back Coach for the JV and Varsity football team at Atkins High School.

Silas had a brave heart as a Warrior unto God. He remained strong throughout his trials and tribulations. His faith in God gave him the determination to overcome obstacles in his path.

He was a gentleman and respectful to all persons who came into his presence. Silas knew he was loved by his family and friends. Many knew him for his smile. Silas smelled the sweet aroma of flowers, kindness and love surrounding him every day of his life bestowed on him by his family. His life touched others in so many ways.

Silas was preceded in death by his brother, Shawn Dewayne Pressley; maternal grandfather, Bishop Joseph Lowery and paternal grandmother, Annie Bell P. Muldrow
