Sylvester Charles Davis, 82, of Lindy Rd., died Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Lexington Health Care.

The funeral service will be Sunday at 3:00pm at Union Baptist Church with family visitation a half hour before the service. Burial will be Tuesday at 11:00a.m. at Salisbury National Cemetery.

Public viewing will be Saturday from 1:00pm -6:00pm at Roberts Funeral Service.

He was born in Davidson County to Arnold and Mattie Mock Davis on October 04, 1933. He was a faithful member of Union Baptist Church where he was a member of the Deacon Board. He served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Ruth Eller Davis; five brothers: Delos, Roscoe, Henry, George and Stanford Davis and four sisters: Zella M. Brewster, Mozella Bradley, Dortha D. Miller and Mable Davis.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Pastor Steve (Barbara) Davis; three grandchildren, SaDonna Wiggins, Nicola Medley and Bernard Davis; three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
