Our dearly beloved Sylvia Diane Williams Blackwell entered Heaven's Gate Sunday, May 24, 2026 while a patient at Trellis Supportive in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Born on January 11, 1952 in Rowan County, North Carolina, Sylvia was the daughter of the late Robert L. Williams and the late Reverend Hattie Davidson Williams. She was a woman of faith who was loved and revered by her family, friends, church and community. We find solace in sharing her life for so many years and knowing that she is now with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

"Ann," as she was affectionately known, was educated in the Davie County public schools and graduated from the Davie County High School, class of 1970. She retired from the Trinity Elms in Clemmons, North Carolina as a Dietician.

She was a devoted and faithful member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Mocksville, North Carolina until her health began to decline . Her hobbies included cooking, baking, taking care of children, watching cooking channels, and most of all, caring for the children in the family.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her only grandson, Kenyatta M. Brand and a brother, Robert L. Williams.

We have been blessed abundantly to have shared the beautiful life of Ann. She will be remembered fondly and affectionately by her daughter, Mia (Edward Daniels) Williams of Warner Robins, Georgia; two sisters, Betty (Steve) Sifford of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Glenda Williams Graham of Mocksville, North Carolina; an aunt, Mae Nell Tatum; special friend, Jerry Goodlett of Mocksville, North Carolina; and best friend, Maggie Feamster of Mocksville, North Carolina.
