Tanya Marie Snead Calloway was born November 14, 1973, to Elaine C. Staples Snead and Leonard L. Snead, who preceded Tanya into eternal rest.On Tuesday, August 24, 2021, God called Tanya home from labor to reward her crown and eternal rest.
Tanya accepted Christ at an early age under the late Pastor Edward C. Ward of the Greater Union Baptist Church of Reading, PA.Tanya enjoyed Sunday School and singing in the choir.Tanya completed her education through the Reading school district graduating from Reading High School.She was a gifted scholar graduating from Kutztown University with honors; Tanya obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.
Tanya served her Country faithfully and honorably in the branch of the Army, completed basic training at Fort Leonard Missouri, and attended AIT at Fort Sam Houston, where she received training as an X-ray technician.Tanya, received numerous awards and accolades during her Military career.
October 7, 2000, Tanya married her Jr. High School sweetheart, Anthony S. Calloway.Tanya was a faithful and cherished wife.She was a wife of noble character.From their blissful union, three magnificent and intelligent sons were born.On September 3, 2002 Anthony Scott Calloway was born; on November 11, 2003 Jackson Scott Calloway was born, completed the birthed children to this couple.Tanya was a loving, doting mother.Her family was always her number one priority covering them in prayer and pouring an abundance of labor and love while speaking wisdom in giving faithful instructions.
Tanya possessed an impeccable work ethic;her presence blessed every organization that employed her and was the better for it.In her leaving the organization, she left the organization in a better position.Tanya went to work at Riverside Christian Daycare Center as a director.The daycare was on the brink of closing its doors.Within a short period, Tanya brought the finances out of the red and into the black and increased the enrollment numbers.
Before her death, Tanya worked for Home Depot Customer Service Department as a supervisor for customer accounts.Tanya was deeply loved and respected by those who worked under her leadership.She was a great asset to her department.Tanya was well known and honored for her reliability, attention to detail, and a low tolerance for sloppy work ethics.
Tanya leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband, Anthony;dearly loved sons, Anthony, Jackson and Judah of Charlotte, North Carolina; sister, Tracy Snead Roberts of Philadelphia, PA; brother, Marc Snead of Reading, PA; nieces, Taylor C. Bailey and Travena C. Snead; nephews, Kenneth C. Roberts, Kenneth M. Roberts III, Rashid T. Snead and Leni K. Snead; loving grandmother, Agnes M. Snead (Nanna); grandparents, William and Eloise Calloway; Father and Mother in Love, Irvin and Pamela (Calloway) Brown, Anthony and Wanda Jackson; a host of many close friends, far too many to name; Kahruan J. Flowers (cousin/brother/son); two life-long cherished friends, Sasha Wright and cousin Lisa Staples; and a special friend, Chuck Bailey (father of Taylor Bailey).
