Mr. Teddy Oswald Gandy, of the Midway community, departed this life on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House at the age of 59, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 15, 1965 in Davidson County to Mazie Young Gandy and the late Melvin Gandy.

Affectionately known as "Ted," he attended Andrews High School in High Point, North Carolina. He began his career at American Express in Greensboro before launching his own transportation business, Mallard Regional Transportation, based in Winston-Salem. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to work as an administrator for Health Solution Resources in Winston-Salem, and he later dedicated himself to working alongside his brothers in the family business, Gandy Landscaping.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Mazie Y. Gandy; two sisters, Sandra (Rodney) Quick and Wanda Gandy Quick; two brothers, Melvin Jr. Scott Gandy and Christopher Lamar "Lamont" Gandy; along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends who will deeply miss him.

Ted's warmth, humor and kindness will forever be cherished by those who knew him.

The funeral will be Saturday at 1:00pm at Roberts Funeral Service with family visitation at 12:30pm. Burial will follow at Saints Delight Holiness Church Cemetery.
