Terry Pittman, Sr., 61, of Tise Avenue, Winston Salem, North Carolina, was called home to be with Lord on Monday, February 21, 2022 while in the comfort of his home. He was born on October 12, 1960 in Marion County, Mississippi to the late Epaminondas Pittman and Ola Johnson Pittman.

He graduated Class of 1978 from Edison High School in Fresno, CA. In his earlier years of life he was a member of Second Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Sandy Hook, MS. Terry relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina before finding his way to Winston-Salem in 1995.

His spiritual journey received care and nurturing from Second Calvary Baptist Church were he was a dedicated member. While at Second Calvary he served on the Deacons board and the janitorial committee.

In his leisure time he loved all phases of the game of fishing, from catching, cleaning to cooking. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He was preceded in death by his father, Epaminondas Pittman; two brothers: Johnny and Walter Pittman; one sister, Easton Queena Pittman and one son, Terry Pittman, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Pittman; two sons: Johnny Leon Pittman (Sarah) and TJ both of Fresno, CA; a number of grandchildren; his mother, Ola Johnson Pittman of Sandy Hook, MS; sister, Tina Pittman of Atlanta, GA; brother, Larry (Penny) Pittman of Houston, TX; sister-in-law, Sylvia Grier Odister of Winston-Salem, NC; friend, Brian Moses of Winston-Salem, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 P.M. Monday, February 28, 2022 at Second Calvary Baptist Church, 1751 New Walkertown Road, Winston-Salem, North Carolina 27101. Burial will follow the celebration of life at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown, North Carolina. Calling hours will be held Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
