Thomas Kilpatrick Burton, Jr., lovingly known as "TK," departed this life on September 16, 2024. TK was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend to many. His infectious smile, capturing heart and infectious laugh brought joy to all who knew him. Known for his gentle and kind-hearted nature, TK had a remarkable ability to befriend everyone he encountered.

TK was born on May 23, 1994 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He attended Winston-Salem/ Forsyth County Schools and graduated from Glenn High School in 2012. It was during high school that TK met the love of his life, Jacqueline "Jackie" Guzman. Their love story blossomed into a beautiful family, and together they welcomed their beloved son. Thomas Kilpatrick Burton III , affectionately called "Tre Tre." Becoming a father was one of TK's greatest joys and he wore that title with pride and excitement.

TK was a passionate entrepreneur, always striving to provide for his family and build a legacy for his son. He is remembered for his unwavering dedication and love to his wife, Jackie, their son, Tre Tre, whom he adored with all his heart.

TK is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline Guzman Burton and their cherished son, Thomas Kilpatrick Burton III. He leaves behind his devoted mother, Robin Nelson; his father, Thomas Kilpatrick Burton, Sr.; his two brothers, Deshawn Clowney and Kobe Goodwin; his sister, Latisha Mock; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

In addition, TK is survived by Jackie's parents, Thelma and Edgar Guzman and her siblings, all of whom will deeply miss his presence in their lives. TK's kindness, laughter and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His legacy of love and family will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to be part of his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request that donations be made to TK's beloved wife, Jacqueline Guzman, to support her and their son, Tre Tre, during this difficult time. Contributions can be made directly to Jackie or through the established GoFundMe account.

A service of celebration and reflection will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 4, 2024 at Freeman Street Baptist Church with the family greetings friends and family at 10:45 A.M. prior to the service. Tk will find rest in the serenity of Mt. Gur Cemetery, Kernersville, North Carolina.
