Tinae'ja Sierra Nashae Hatchet, affectionately known by many, was born on April 13, 2006 in Dayton, Ohio. She peacefully left this world to dance with the angels on Friday, June 28, 2024 in Kernersville, North Carolina.
Tinae'ja was a member of the graduating class of 2024 from RJ Reynolds High School where she took part in the color guard and Young Life Youth Ministry. She also earned her honors cord in ASL (American Sign Language) and was immensely proud of that accomplishment. She was recently employed with Walmart, and her desire was to save her money for college and she was extremely excited to embark on a fulfilling career in public service and dance. Tinae'ja's laughter was infectious and her kindness knew no bounds, always leaving an impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a young lady of unwavering integrity and dedication. Her greatest source of pride and joy was her family, and she cherished every moment spent with her siblings.
Tinae'ja was preceded in death by her great grandmother, Lorraine Hatchet of Atlanta, GA and fraternal grandmother, Charlotte Gray of Dayton, OH.
She leaves to cherish precious memories: her mother, Kashinda Hatchet of Winston-Salem, NC and father, Da'Qwan Piner of Dayton, OH; her siblings: Ty'Rell Hatchet (14), De'Andre'ion Bryant, Jr. (13) and Journe'e Coleman (4) all of Winston-Salem, NC; Daelen Piner (8) of Dayton, OH; grandmothers: Tina Hatche of Winston-Salem, NC and Teresa Green (TT); Patricia Ann Burton and grandfather, Dale Burton, Sr.; aunts, Divisha Upshaw and Triana Burton; uncles, Dale Burton, Jr. and Otto Burton both of Dayton, OH; Jarelle Hatchet and godmother, Sierra Tunstall of Dallas, TX; boyfriend, Elijah Daniels and a host of family in Winston-Salem, NC, along with a host of other family and friends.
A memorial service celebrating her beautiful life will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church (Winston-Salem).
