Tommy Franklin Essick passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He was a devoted father, grandfather and friend whose kindness and hardworking spirit touched everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved daughters: Tammy Essick, Frankie Essick McRorie (Jeff McRorie), Kassie Allen (Chris Allen), Rena McGee (Terry McGee) and Erickia Leonard (Barry Leonard); and by his sons, Thomas Essick and Eddie Stansel.

Tommy was the proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his significant other, Vicky Essick; his son, Tommy "Bo" Essick Jr.; and his parents, Thomas and Pearl Essick.

A self-employed brick mason by trade, Tommy built not only strong walls but a strong foundation for his family. He loved and lived for his children and took great pride in caring for his farm animals. His hands were always busy, his heart always full and his legacy will continue through the family he so deeply cherished.

A celebration of life to honor Tommy will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Roberts Funeral Service. The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 pm till 2:00 pm, prior to service.
