On May 2, 2025 Mr. Tommy Lee Wardlow, Jr., 71, known to many as "Tommy" and affectionately called "June" by friends, transitioned from this life at Cedar Hills Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born on February 24, 1954 to Tommy Lee and Wilma Clifton Wardlow, Sr. in Newark, New Jersey.

Tommy served in the US Marines and was employed at Hanesbrand Inc. for many years on Annapolis Drive in Winston-Salem, NC. He had an undeniable love for his 1976 Grand Prix and his 1978 Cutlass Supreme Oldsmobile. He enjoyed driving and working on them.

Tommy, in his pastime, enjoyed being outside whether he was simply walking somewhere or cruising around town. He attended church every Sunday, not missing a beat. After service you could find him enjoying a cooked meal followed by some snack wrappers and topping it off with a vanilla milkshake with a Mountain Dew soda.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves to cherish his memory his two daughters, Trissy Wallace of Orlando, Florida and Kendra Wardlow of Winston-Salem, NC; four sisters: Carolyn Wardlow (Charles) Cooper, Cynthia Wardlow Bennett, Adrian Wardlow and Tijuana Wardlow all of Winston-Salem, NC; two brothers, Darryl Wardlow and Dennerria Wardlow both of Winston-Salem, NC; additional family, Kay Wallace, mother of Trissy and Dorine Odom, mother of Kendra Wardlow; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services of honor will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Roberts Funeral Service Chapel with visitation at 1:00 PM prior to the service. A public viewing will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
