Valuer "Val" Huntley, 82, of Rochelle Dr., passed on Sunday, December 27, 2015, at Hinkle Hospice House.

The funeral service will be Thursday at 2:00 pm at Salem Baptist Church with visitation a half hour before the service. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

He was born on July 30, 1933, in Anson County to Howard Huntley, Sr. and Minnie Henson Huntley. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church and retired from Leggett and Platt. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Roman Huntley; four sons, Nathan Huntley, Napolean Huntley, Gary Huntley and Kevin Huntley; six daughters, Sharon Ruff, Felicia (Jerry) Jackson, Valerie Huntley, Pable Huntley, Linda Wilson and Teresa; two step sons, Leroy Hicks, Jr. and Herbert Hicks; three step daughters, Velma Hicks, Connie Hicks and Maggie Hicks (Gregory) Burns; a brother, Eugene C. Huntley; a sister, Mary Huntley; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; a friend, Felicia Essick who was like a daughter and a host of other relatives and friends.
