Vanzie Lee Walker, 55, died Tuesday, October 27, 2015.

The funeral service will be Tuesday at 2:00pm at Lexington Deliverance Tabernacle with family visitation an hour before the service. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.

Public viewing will be Monday from 1:00pm -8:00pm at Roberts Funeral Service.

He was born in Lexington on January 14, 1960, to Vanzie Lee Walker Sr., and Judy Cobb Walker. He graduated from Lexington Senior High School. Vanzie was the lead musician at Yadkin Star Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory his parents; two sons, Christopher Walker and Vanzie (Shavonne) Walker III; four daughters, Kimberly Walker, Bridgette Walker, Miriam Walker and Debra W. (Juraill) Simpson; 10 grandchildren; nine siblings: Kenneth Curlee, Calvin Walker, Shaunta Harris, Lisa (Theola) Jones, Mira Walker Callahan, Vanziena Walker, Vanzie Smith, Missy Lee and Stacy Lee; a special uncle, Coleman Walker and aunt, Inez (Elder Jasper) Verdell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
