Mrs. Verana Yvonne Petty, 62, passed Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014 at her residence.

Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2:00pm at Friendship Baptist Church with visitation a half hour before the service. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.

No public viewing.

She was born in Davidson County on June 11, 1952 to Lewis Terry and Mattie Glenn Terry.  She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Ivey Petty of the home; her parents, Lewis and Mattie Terry of Lexington; a son, Gregory (Emily) Petty of Charlotte; a step daughter, April Roberts-Tate of Lexington; three grandchildren, Jeremiah, Malachai and Elijah Petty; two brothers, Tyrone Terry and Ronnie (Rosa) Terry both of Lexington; three sisters, Brenda Hargrave of Lexington, Angeline Terry and Denise (Norman) Johnson of Winston-Salem and a host of other relatives and special friends.
