On Tuesday afternoon, September 21, 2021 our loving daughter, sister and mother closed her eyes to earth and opened her soul to a new home.
Wanda Lee Parks was born in Davie County on October 5, 1961 to Sarah Jeannette Parks and Clarence Melvin Parks, Sr. She attended Davie County Schools and graduated in 1979. Upon graduating, Wanda pursued a career in cosmetology and criminal justice.
"Lesa," as she was affectionately known, was a lifelong member of Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of the usher board, choir and was music director of the youth choir. Lesa was a songbird. She was an artist, cosmetologist, nail technician and she enjoyed knitting. Lesa loved being around her family. She was a very encouraging person and always had an ear to listen to everyone. One of her greatest joys was the anticipation of the birth of her first grandchild whom she will now be watching over from Heaven.
Lesa was loyal and devoted to her family.
